Francesco Di Ianni

Francesco Di Ianni is a Managing Director for FTI’s Telecom, Media and Technology (“TMT”) Practice based in Los Angeles, CA, with a focus on Sports & Entertainment. Francesco has 15+ years of experience in media and entertainment (OTT, TV, film, interactive and sport entertainment) and consulting. He is a leader in FTI Consulting’s Video Game and eSports Working Group, and has worked with clients and investors across the gaming value chain, including major video game developers, publishers, content owners and service providers incl. studios, third party providers, and IP holders.

Previously, Francesco was EVP of Corporate Strategy and Development for Deluxe Entertainment driving M&A and growth / transformation initiatives. Prior to this, he was a leader in the M&E practice of L.E.K. Consulting,  focusing on strategy and due diligence for corporates and institutional investors in M&E. He previously led Business Intelligence for Ubisoft Entertainment where he evaluated the performance of distribution and production subsidiaries. He has held various consulting roles in Europe with Accenture and PwC Consulting. He holds an MBA from INSEAD, MSc. in Operational Research from LSE and BSc. in Mathematics from Imperial College, London.

Ryan Maloney

Ryan Maloney is an Industry Manager on Facebook’s Gaming team where he supports in the development and execution of advertising partnerships designed to help clients build brands and achieve business results across the Facebook Family of Apps and services. In his role, Ryan is specifically responsible for the monetization strategy of cross-platform gaming clients focused on console, PC and mobile games in North America.

Prior to Facebook, Ryan spent eight years at PlayStation in various leadership roles focused on media, marketing partnerships and brand marketing. Before that, he also served as an account manager at sponsorship consultant practice Octagon.

Ryan is a graduate of the University of California Santa Barbara and received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Oregon. Today, he resides in San Francisco, California.

Amir Ghodrati

Amir Ghodrati is the Director of Market Insights at App Annie. His team is responsible for analyzing mobile industry trends and offering customers and prospects with actionable insights to help them create winning mobile experiences and achieve excellence. Prior to App Annie, Amir was a Senior Client Service Analyst at Comscore, where he offered analysis services to digital media clients across a variety of industries, including search, advertising and e-commerce. Amir holds a Bachelor of Science from Stanford University and a Master’s from Duke University.

Chris Gillette

Chris has over fifteen years of experience in marketing, advertising, and business development across gaming, entertainment, music, and consumer electronics. In 2009 he joined Liquid Advertising, whose portfolio of current gaming clients include 2K, Bethesda, CD Projekt Red, Konami, Sega, Square Enix and more. He earned his undergraduate degree from University of California, Berkeley. 

Nick Barrionuevo

As Gaming Partnerships Lead for Samsung Ads, Nick Barrionuevo, a senior media executive with over 15 years of experience, oversees the growth of the Gaming vertical and its advertising partnerships with publishers, agencies, and platforms across its smart devices ecosystem, including TV and Mobile. 

Prior to Samsung, Nick has worked in emerging media, technology, and gaming roles developing product solutions and strategic partnerships at Microsoft, Machinima, and Warner Bros.

Mike Lucero

Mike is a veteran of the gaming industry, having built and launched three Xbox consoles while pioneering the ground-breaking Xbox Live service (his gamertag is “Mike”).  Mike has also played a major role in the gaming media landscape where he brought Twitch to the Xbox and then joined Twitch to lead global monetization for streamers.  At Samsung, Mike leads product management for gaming, where he connects Samsung’s vast audience across devices with the leading players in the gaming ecosystem; ranging from world-class game creators to esports legends, and everything in between.

Shanti Bergel

Shanti is a games producer turned digital entertainment investor.

He has devoted nearly 30 years to the game industry in roles ranging from product management to corporate development at companies like Electronic Arts, FunPlus, Playfish, and GREE. His fascination with how changes in technology and distribution affect products and community led him from traditional AAA in the 90s to MMOs and free to play in the 2000s, then on to social and mobile in the 2010s, and finally to cloud and omni-platform today.

Amelia Hall

Amelia Hall is currently a Strategy Director at Deutsch working on the 7-Eleven business.

She developed a strong interest in how design and brand-building intersect while studying graphic design at Rhode Island School of Design. Since 2009, Amelia has worked with clients at CP+B, TBWA, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Deutsch to invent breakthrough brand experiences for their audiences.

Bridging physical and digital behavior is of particular interest to Amelia and led to her recent stint as a marketer on the augmented reality team at Snapchat before rejoining Deutsch in 2019.

Past clients include American Express, Charles Schwab, Microsoft, Snapchat (in-house), Taco Bell, Nintendo, Target, Toyota Prius, McDonald’s, TBWA internal global network.

Carlos Alimurung

Carlos is the CEO of ONE Esports, the esports arm of ONE Championship.  He is responsible for the overall vision and execution of ONE Esports’ strategy and has P&L ownership of the business. Carlos joined ONE Esports as the former Chief Business Officer of Battlefy, the world’s largest open esports competition platform, managing revenue generation, business development, marketing, social media, and product support. 

Prior to Battlefy, Carlos worked at Univision, where as SVP of Corporate Business Development, he was responsible for corporate venture investments and new business development. Carlos also previously served as the Head of Strategy for LG Electronics’ NA consumer electronics business, focusing on partnering with retailers in innovative ways while developing the company’s connected device strategy. 

Carlos began his career as a management consultant at Marakon Associates, where he advised clients in the US, UK, Brazil, and Singapore. He also served in the AmeriCorps*NCCC program, helping communities along the US East Coast and Puerto Rico across a wide spectrum of needs.

Carlos is an active investor and mentor in the startup community. He mentored companies at the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship’s MIT NYC Startup Studio, as well as the Kaplan TechStars and R/GA Techstars accelerator programs.

He was awarded a McKinsey & Company Fellowship during his MBA at MIT Sloan, and he graduated Cum Laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Olivia Friedlander

At Maestro, Olivia oversees all company operations with a focus on client management and relations. She helps businesses successfully enter the realm of interactive streaming as it becomes an increasingly important mechanism for audience acquisition, engagement, and monetization. She works across internal and external teams to ensure smooth product launches and is responsible for managing the relationship between teams. Maestro’s main focus is within the gaming sector, with clients such as Microsoft, EA and ELEAGUE along with clients in other key verticals such as Adobe, The Grammys and Coachella.
