Biography
Sarah Guerrero leads the Global Legal Organization’s privacy and safety programs at NetEase Games, focusing on building scalable policies and processes for game studios located around the world. In addition to providing legal counsel on data protection and online safety issues, she advises teams on product and litigation matters relating to AI, consumer protection, IP, and web3.
Previously, Sarah served gaming, media, and technology clients as an associate at Covington and as the first product / privacy counsel at Playco Global (an HTML and web3 gaming startup). Notable experience includes handling Federal Trade Commission investigations, a long-term secondment to Meta’s product counseling team, and successful defense of a class action suit brought under the Video Privacy Protection Act.
Sarah received a B.A. from Stanford University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. She holds CIPP/E and CIPT certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
