Justin Berenbaum

Justin Berenbaum is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of leadership experience in the global game industry and currently serves as Senior Vice President of Global Industry Relations and General Manager, Funding. In this role, Justin shapes strategic direction and growth initiatives for Xsolla’s funding and investment platform, helping game developers access capital, scale operations, and build sustainable business models in a competitive market. This role also enables Justin to connect investors and publishers with a curated pipeline of high-quality pitches from creators worldwide.

Throughout his career, Justin has held senior roles across major interactive entertainment companies, including Activision, 505 Games, and Capcom, where he drove international business development, strategic partnerships, licensing, sales, and customer support. His deep understanding of digital distribution, publisher relations, and market strategy has made him a respected voice in the gaming ecosystem. 

In addition to his executive work, Justin has served on the Boards of the Global Game Jam and the International Game Developers Association (IGDA), contributing to the growth and support of creative communities and industry professionals. He also acts as Principal at Joystick Ventures, where he focuses on financing and supporting independent game development. 

Justin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and earlier in his life was a music director and DJ for his college radio station – a testament to his blend of business savvy and creative spirit.
