Biography

Frances Jensen is counsel to the Interactive Entertainment Group with experience handling a variety of transactions across the video games, technology, advertising, and music industries. She is included on The National Law Journal’s 2022 Trailblazers list for Sports/Gaming/Entertainment Law.

Ms. Jensen’s practice includes representing clients on a broad range of transactional matters involving video games and interactive projects such as financing, development, publishing and distribution, first party platform requirements, media and brand integrations, sponsorships, marketing executions, ad tech, software and content licensing, talent and influencer services, music production and licensing, rights clearance, and compliance with industry regulations and self-regulatory guidelines.

Prior to joining Frankfurt Kurnit, Ms. Jensen worked at Activision Blizzard in the Activision Publishing business segment. As in-house counsel, Ms. Jensen negotiated and drafted a range of video game development and publishing-related agreements, including creative and production services, branded entertainment, agency and marketing services, voice over and on camera talent, composer agreements, music licenses, and influencer deals. Ms. Jensen was also responsible for advising on clearance review, social media and marketing campaigns, public relations materials, and related FTC and ESRB matters.

Ms. Jensen received her J.D. from Loyola Law School and her B.A. from the University of Southern California. She is admitted to practice in California.
