Biography

Elizabeth Cohen serves as General Counsel at Crunchyroll. In this role, Cohen is responsible for driving the success of the Crunchyroll brand through her leadership and oversight of the legal and anti-piracy departments. 

 

Elizabeth joined Crunchyroll in 2016 and served as Associate General Counsel, providing legal and strategic counsel across all company functions, including content acquisition, product, corporate governance, marketing, finance, and human resources. She also served as Acting General Counsel through the company’s merger and acquisition by AT&T/Otter Media and also served on the Crunchyroll deal team when it was acquired by Sony Picture’s Funimation for $1.2B.

 

Prior, Elizabeth held various leadership roles within the entertainment industry, notably at Sony Music Entertainment and ABKCO Music & Records.

Elizabeth holds a J.D. from Boston University’s School of Law, and a B.A. in English and American Literature from New York University.
