Biography

Before web3, Ryan Meyers worked in education as an instructor and Director of Technology in New Orleans, taking contract development work on the side and developing bespoke software to solve problems for teachers and students. While evacuating for Hurricane Ida, he and his daughter launched the first 100% charity NFT project, #ForkHunger Non-Fungible Forks, which has to date raised over $140k for food banks that service their home area. Through that project and involvement with other communities, he came to know and be known by many in the community as an innovative mind and thoughtful developer. In partnership with Lucky Maneki, Ryan developed and airdropped a fully-playable, interactive arcade NFT which provided special in-game items and experiences depending on ownership of tokens from various other collections. He has worked as “Chief Anthrobotanical Engineer” for Flower Girls and blockchain developer for Merlyn Labs since 2021, inventing, developing, and implementing the pseudo-staking rewards mechanism of “cross-pollination” by which unique traits from the collection are instrumental in a daily simulation, determining the DNA of semi-fungible “seeds” that are grown, distributed, and used in an open, gamified economy.

Ryan is an educator at heart and enjoys explaining and demystifying blockchain technology for people new to the space. He believes two things to be true and important: the world will be saved by beauty and generosity attracts generosity.
