Biography

Riley R. Russell, currently Studio Head at Kojima Productions US, boasts more than 30 years of experience in the gaming and interactive entertainment industry. Formerly Chief Legal Officer and Global Senior Vice President at Sony Interactive Entertainment, Sony’s PlayStation division, his career has spanned from the early days of 16-bit games and the Nintendo/Sega console wars, through the present. Through his positions at Sega, Sony, and now Kojima Productions. He has had a unique vantage point observing and actively participating in the growth of the industry. His experience includes eleven console launches, game production, IP licensing, and several transmedia projects taking games to motion pictures and television.

Currently Mr. Russell works at Kojima Productions and is involved in games, television, and film. He is an active board member of the Video Game Bar Association and TruGolf, Inc. He remains an industry advisor and historian, resides in California, and has a perpetual appetite for new challenges.
