Chris Early joined Ubisoft’s San Francisco office in February 2010. As Vice President of Partnerships & Revenue, Early spearheads Ubisoft’s business partnerships and Business Development teams, and leads Ubisoft’s physical and digital game revenue efforts for the North, South and Central America territories.
Early brings an impressive breadth of experience with prior roles at Microsoft, most recently serving as the general manager for Windows Gaming Technology where he led development efforts designed to extend game experiences across multiple platforms and grow Microsoft’s casual and core gaming audiences. Early also served as president and chief operating officer of GameSpy and executive vice president and general manager of Mplayer. Early’s entrepreneurial exploits include founding Corporate Computer Rental and being a ComputerLand franchisee.
Early holds a BA in Economics and a BA in International Management from Claremont Men’s College.
Ian Howe is the CEO of Skybound Games, a venture in conjunction with Skybound Entertainment focusing on unique and exceptional independently developed IP. Ian oversees the entire venture and manages a slate of high-quality video games across multiple platforms, from the best independent developers around the globe.
The first games published by Skybound Games are The Long Dark with Hinterland, Slime Rancher by Monomi Park, and Skullgirls with Lab Zero Games. Skybound Games is also now overseeing the continuation of Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season from development to publication. Also on the horizon is Deaths Gambit with Adult Swim Games.
Before leading Skybound Games, Ian served as President of 505 Games, a company he co-founded and built to be one of the most successful new publishing companies within the past few years. During his 25 years in the games industry, Ian has also enjoyed successful spells at Activision and Maxis.
Taewon Yun is General Manager for Global Publishing at Super Evil Megacorp, the developers of the world’s leading mobile esport, Vainglory. Taewon is responsible for the expansion and operations of Vainglory throughout the world. Originally launched with a 3v3 format in 2015, winning several game-of-the-year awards, Vainglory has in a short time grown to become the largest international mobile esport, played and watched by millions every month and supported by sponsors including Coca-Cola, Razer, NVIDIA, Amazon and global esports franchises TSM, Cloud9, Fnatic, Rox, DetonatioN Gaming, G2 Esports, SK Gaming and many more. Taewon is a passionate gamer with over 20 years of experience in game and platform development, strategic planning and execution, business development and team building. Previously, Taewon was Managing Director at Wargaming Asia Pacific where he built up the company’s presence across the region and directed all aspects of growth for its flagship title, World of Tanks. He has also held executive positions at Blizzard Entertainment, Red 5 Studios and Electronic Arts. Taewon graduated from Seoul National University with a Masters of Science in Engineering.
Eric is a 30-year veteran of the game, consumer online, and wireless data industries, serving in capacities ranging from game designer to executive.
Since 2002, Eric is or has been a board member of, advisor or consultant to AOL, AT&T Wireless, Centerscore, Digital Chocolate, Electronic Arts, Exponential Entertainment, Gaia Online, HipLogic, In-Fusio, Juice Wireless, Kayak (dba Blaze), Lifetime, LimeLife, Meredith, Mforma (dba Hands-On Mobile), Moloon, Openwave, PaymentOne, PickTeams (fka GoCrossCampus), Reaxion, rmbrME, Thumbplay, Unplugged, Vindigo, Warner Music, YouPlus, and two US venture capital firms.
Eric was most recently the President and Co-Founder of Unplugged, for which he secured distribution with four of the five largest North American carriers. Previously, he served as President and Founder of Crossover Technologies, one of the first consumer online companies, for which he secured AOL, BMG, Discovery Channel, Intel, Microsoft, Prodigy (IBM/Sears/CBS joint venture), Random House, Sony, Time Warner, and Viacom as clients and distribution partners; and, prior to that, as President of West End Games, the adventure game company for which he published, among 40+ titles, Star Wars, Ghostbusters, Star Trek, and Junta. His award-winning games include Paranoia, Tales of the Arabian Nights, The Tom Peters Business School in a Box, and MadMaze, the first online game to draw one million players. He is a three-time winner of the Origins Award for Best Role-Playing Game and a two-time winner of the Game Designers Guild Select Award.
Eric is a regular speaker at the major North American games, wireless and online conferences, including CTIA, MECCA, Internet World, The Conference Board, DMW, GDC, GDC Mobile, MES, AGC, MGC, LA Games Conference, and E3, and has served as a programs advisor or advisory board member for the latter six conferences. He was previously a board member for the New York New Media Association and New York University’s Center for Advanced Digital Applications.
Michael leads the company’s gaming vertical, providing a wide variety of market research and analysis products to help clients gain a comprehensive understanding of consumer gaming habits and interest and make strategic decisions. Prior to joining Interpret, Cai served as Director of Digital Media and Gaming for Parks Associates. During his tenure with Parks Associates, Cai established and grew its gaming coverage practice and led a research team to provide syndicated and custom research for digital media, gaming and service provider industries.
John currently leads operations for Vespa USA, a mobile gaming company based in South Korea. Here he oversees the growth and maintenance of global revenue for their hit mobile game King’s Raid. Prior to that, he has been the Head of Games at Super Deluxe, VP Product at ZQGame and Senior Game Producer at GAMEVIL Com2uS. With over 80 Asian games published to Western audiences in the past 8 years, he’s been a key leader in bridging the gap between the two cultures.
Jeonghee Jin is the CEO of Pearl Abyss America, a US subsidiary company of Pearl Abyss, and is also leading the global corporate development initiatives for Pearl Abyss, the makers of the MMORPG Black Desert. Jeonghee previously served as the CEO at Kakao Games USA. For the past +15 years, she worked at game companies in the US and Korea, including Kakao Games, Trion Worlds, nWay and NHN, with an expertise in the international business, strategy, publishing and business development, leading many international partnership deals and growing businesses for the companies. Jeonghee holds an MBA from Stanford University.
Bill Weizheng Wang is CEO of Giant Games, the US subsidiary of Giant Network, a public listed premier gaming company with over 2,000 employees worldwide. Prior to that, he was President, Overseas Gaming Business at 360, one of the largest internet companies in China. He also served as Corporate Vice President and Head of Global Investment/Business Development at Perfect World. He helped establish Perfect World’s US operations and invested in acclaimed developers including Runic Games, Double Damage, and Unknown Worlds. He also pioneered Perfect World’s efforts to develop strategic partnerships with industry giants like Valve.
Bill Weizheng Wang received his MBA degree from Pennsylvania State University in 2001 and received his master’s degree in finance from Boston College in 2004.
As the Founder and CEO of Firefly Games, also the former CEO of ZQGame Inc. (U.S. Subsidiary) and President (Overseas) of ShenZhen ZQGame (a publicly traded online gaming company), Michael Zhang is a serial entrepreneur in online/mobile gaming, E-commerce and social network businesses with 20 years working (14+ years management) experience. In Jan., 2015, Michael founded Firefly Games Inc., a global publisher and developer of mobile games with offices in Los Angeles and Shanghai. The company’s valuation has become $100M in 2016 and it was selected as the top 50 LA startups to watch in 2017. In 2008 he co-founded and became the CEO of Ray Flame Entertainment Inc., a MMO-browser/SNS game publisher/developer in Los Angeles. Prior to Ray Flame, Michael was the General Manager of THS International Inc., the world largest MMORPG virtual currency provider. Also he served the U.S. General Manager position of an Online Game Publisher – VestGame Entertainment.
Josh is a consultant in the gaming industry working with game developers, game publishers and service providers focused on online and mobile gaming to support key business areas including strategy, market intelligence, marketing, game publishing, business operations, product management and business development. Previously, he worked at 6waves, leading the US product management team for one of the largest publishers of games for Facebook, iOS & Android, where he managed & launched over 100+ apps including those from top developers like Kabam, Nexon & Atari, as well as games based on IP from Eminem, Disney, Dungeons & Dragons, Starz & BBC. Prior, he worked at Electronic Arts in EA’s Pogo.com division, supporting one of the largest casual games websites focusing on product management, customer insights, new platforms, market strategy & analytics.
