Michael Metzger

Michael Metzger is a Managing Partner at Drake Star (www.drakestar.com), a global media / tech investment bank with over 100 professionals across the U.S., Europe and Asia. He advises companies on M&A and growth stage financings and leads the firm’s gaming and digital media practice. Recent transactions include the sale of Spiketrap to Reddit, Echtra Games to Zynga, Wildworks to Nazara, Tastypill to Azure Games, Lightstream to Xsolla, Firefly to Devolver Digital, FreshPlanet / SongPop to Vivendi, Slightly Mad Studios to Codemasters and nWay to Animoca.

Michael holds five patents in the field of communications and also serves as the chairman and board director of the German American Business Association in Southern California. Previously, Michael was a senior banker at Houlihan Lokey’s TMT Group, principal at MESA Global and a co-founder and principal at investment bank Covert & Co. Before that, he held senior management and engineering positions at AT&T, IBM and Mindspeed.
