Biography

Aaron Davies joined Oculus to establish content strategy and partnerships a decade ago, before the first Kickstarter devkits launched. Across that span of time he has played a key role in growing the Oculus content portfolio from zero to over 500 titles, with software revenues surpassing $1.5 billion in 2022.

He is passionate about mentoring and growing a rising generation of creators, marked by after-hours adjunct professorships at Stanford, Arizona State University, and The Art Institute.

Prior to joining Oculus, Aaron built the developer tools strategy for a new GPU at Intel, and led a research team in developing patents around advanced technologies including AR/VR, AI, sensor fusion, and computer vision. Aaron has been a game enthusiast and programmer since the advent of the Apple II computer, with his first decade of professional experience spent directly in 3d simulations and game development across Evans & Sutherland, Tsunami and Rainbow Studios/THQ.

Whether professionally in the creation of completely new technologies and industries, or personally with his affinity for endurance athletics in the great outdoors, Aaron is strategically minded and plays the long game to proven effect. Aaron holds a M.B.A. from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and is based in Orange County, California.
